9 at 4:00 p.m. Local Time Track Length: 1.5-mile paved oval.
Talladega Recap: On the heels of his second
straight top-five finish the weekend before at Rockingham
Speedway, Patrick Sheltra and his Sheltra Motorsports team
headed to Talladega Superspeedway looking for win number
two of the season. After qualifying a competitive 11th,
Sheltra battled overheating issues from the drop of the
green flag. After a pit stop to cool down his No. 60 Buffalo
Wings & Rings Dodge Charger, Sheltra drafted his way
back into the top-five before the car finally succumbed
to overheating problems. The team finished 33rd.
Returning To The Bluegrass Oval: For the
fifth time in his ARCA RE/MAX Series, Patrick Sheltra will
take the green flag at Kentucky Speedway Saturday night.
In four prior efforts at Kentucky, Sheltra has maneuvered
a top-10 finish twice including a personal best of seventh
last May. Ironically, Kentucky Speedway is the site of Sheltra’s
first career top-10 finish in 2007.
The Buffalo’s On The Hood For The Rest Of
‘09: For their fourth time this year and
second on the hood, Sheltra Motorsports is proud to have
Buffalo Wings & Rings on-board as the primary marketing
partner for Saturday’s Drive Smart! Buckle-Up Kentucky
150 and for the rest of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series season.
Known for it’s “Great Food; No Bull!”
campaign, Buffalo Wings & Rings is the fastest-growing
privately owned franchised chain of restaurants in the nation
serving Buffalo-style chicken wings, onion rings, burgers,
chicken and salads. Founded in 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio,
Buffalo Wings & Rings operates 44 franchised restaurants
in the United States. Buffalo Wings & Rings was ranked
the No. 1 fastest growing restaurant chain nationwide in
the July 2008 issue of Restaurant Business, and ranked in

It’s All About You, Mom: After making
his 51st career ARCA RE/MAX Series start on Saturday night,
Patrick Sheltra will spend Sunday with his mother Grace
Sheltra celebrating the importance of Mother’s Day.
Grace Sheltra is one of seven female car owners and / or
mothers that compete in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.
Watcha Haulin?: Crew Chief John Hayden
has elected to use Sheltra Motorsports Chassis No. 13 this
weekend at Kentucky Speedway. This is the same piece the
team raced with at Michigan International Speedway, Nashville
Superspeedway and Chicagoland Speedway last season. The
former Penske Racing ride has two top-10 finishes including
a best of sixth at Michigan in three starts. It will be
run for just the fourth time in Sheltra’s career.
Chassis number 11 will serve as the team’s back-up
automobile. That former Penske Racing entry is the same
automobile that Sheltra competed with at both Pocono Raceway
events and in practice at Nashville Superspeedway last year.
Points Check: After round four on the
2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Patrick Sheltra sits fourth
in the championship standings accumulating 685 points. Sheltra
is tied with fellow Floridian Bryan Silas. Sheltra is just
130 markers from returning to the top-spot held by Parker
Kligerman. Car owner Grace Sheltra sits seventh in the car
owner standings.
Keeping The Streak Alive: For 25 consecutive
races, Sheltra Motorsports has fielded a car for Patrick
Sheltra that run in the top-10 (at one point or another)
for all events reverting back to the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series
season opener at Daytona International Speedway. The team
added their 24th race despite finishing 33rd in the ARCA
RE/MAX 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. During this period,
the team has amassed one win, six top-fives and 11 top-10
finishes. The team’s best qualifying effort occurred
at Rockingham Speedway last weekend where Sheltra awarded
himself with a career best run of third. The team has led
five races at Rockingham Speedway (2009), Salem Speedway
(2009) Kansas Speedway (2008), Cayuga Motor Speedway (2008),
and Talladega Superspeedway (2008), for a total of 109 laps.

Speedway Pre-Race Quotes: Patrick Sheltra, driver of the
No. 60 Buffalo Wings & Rings Dodge Charger:
On Talladega Superspeedway: “We
had an awesome car just a disappointing finish. We just
couldn’t get our Buffalo Wings & Rings Dodge to
cool down. I think we proved to everyone that we had a car
capable of winning the race, we just didn’t make it
to the end.”
On Kentucky Speedway: “I always
enjoy competing at Kentucky Speedway. It’s a fun place
to race and our intermediate program is stronger than ever.
This is our team’s and Buffalo Wings & Rings hometown
track so our goal is to celebrate in victory lane Saturday
night.”
On The Signing Of Buffalo Wings & Rings For
Remainder Of 2009: “We are thrilled about
this new partnership. Our experience with Buffalo Wings
& Rings has been everything we could ask for and then
some. We’re excited to have their support at the track
and in the restaurants all year long.”
On His Off-Weekend: “I had a good
time. I went to the Bahamas with my girlfriend Lauren and
the family. We’ve been extremely busy the past month
or so, so we decided to hop on a plane and get away for
the weekend. I’m refreshed and ready to get after
it on Saturday.”
On The Point Standings: “We had
a bad break at Talladega and dropped a couple spots. We’ll
bounce back though, it’s still really early in the
season, so we can recover nicely and be back at the top
when it really counts.”
Sheltra Motorsports, Kentucky
Speedway Pre-Race Quotes: Grace Sheltra, owner of the No.
60 Buffalo Wings & Rings Dodge Charger:
On Talladega: “It was a real bummer.
Patrick drove his butt off to get back to the front and
then BAM, we were done. We hated it for the team and all
of our marketing partners, especially Buffalo Wings &
Rings, but that’s racing. We will bounce back.”
On Kentucky: “Kentucky is a special
track to Sheltra Motorsports and especially Patrick. In
2007, he collected his first top-10 in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.
Since then, he has won, finished in the top-five and added
more top-10s to his credit, not to mention leading laps.
We want to win at Kentucky this weekend, I think our odds
look good.”
On The Signing Of Buffalo Wings & Rings For
Remainder Of 2009: “We are thankful especially
in these tough economic times to welcome Buffalo Wings &
Rings onboard as our primary marketing partner for the remainder
of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series season. We are looking forward
to a long-lasting relationship with them and can’t
wait to bring them back to victory lane.”
