patience and prior Toledo Speedway experience to finish

finish of the 2008 season. The finish was the third career
top-five finish for Sheltra in two full seasons of ARCA
competition.
Returning To Long Pond: For the fourth
time in his ARCA RE/MAX Series career, Patrick Sheltra returns
to Pocono Raceway looking to muster his fifth top-10 finish
of the season in eight races. Previously at the 2.5-mile
speedway, Sheltra has amassed a career best finish of 11th
occurring in the August ARCA RE/MAX Series event last year.

anticipating announcing their 2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck
Series plans in the coming weeks. After making his NASCAR
truck debut at Atlanta Motor Speedway last October, Sheltra
Motorsports purchased two Chevrolet Silverado’s from
Billy Ballew Motorsports (BBM) during the off-season. The
team’s first planned event is expected to come at
Kentucky Speedway on Saturday, July 19, 2008, part of a
double-header weekend with the ARCA RE/MAX Series.
And The Winner Is: After attending the
Motorsports 2008 show in Atlantic City, New Jersey earlier
this year, Patrick Sheltra watched Tiffany Skias become
crowned Ms. Motorsports 2008. Now, Sheltra Motorsports has
invited Skias to attend the Pocono 200 as their special
guest. Skias, a 270 micro sprint car driver was crowned
Ms. Motorsports in her first year of competition. The 19-year

Motorsports for the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Chassis number 11
was acquired from Penske Racing and driver Ryan Newman during
the off season. Chassis number 15 will serve as the team’s
back-up automobile. The team ran that model at the open
ARCA RE/MAX Series test at Michigan International Speedway
last week.
Point Standings: After round seven on
the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Patrick Sheltra sits
eighth in the championship standings accumulating 1,410
points. Sheltra is only 60 markers from moving into the
fifth position currently held by SunTrust Rookie-of-the-Year
candidate John Wes Townley. 150 credits separate Sheltra
from the points lead held by SunTrust Rookie-of-the-Year
candidate Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.
Looking Ahead: In addition to a full ARCA
RE/MAX Series schedule, Sheltra Motorsports and driver Patrick
Sheltra will also compete in a limited dirt late model schedule
(UMP and WoO) while also advancing Sheltra’s asphalt
career by launching a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career
later this year.
Sheltra Motorsports, Pocono
Raceway Pre-Race Quotes:
Patrick Sheltra, driver of the No. 60 Ferguson Pipe
Enterprises-FloraGanics Dodge:
On Toledo: “Our team is still really
pumped up from our finish at Toledo Speedway. We’ve
proven that we are worthy contenders in the ARCA RE/MAX
Series this year and no doubt that our second place finish
gave everyone a clear indication of that.”
On Pocono: “Pocono Raceway. I’m
glad to be going back. I’ve learned a bunch about
the track in the two years I’ve run there. Our Dodge
program has been strong and we’re anticipating another
strong weekend for Sheltra Motorsports. Walking out of Pocono
with a top-10 finish will allow me to check off one of my
goals for the season.”
On Ms. Motorsports 2008 Attending Pocono: “We’re
excited to have Tiffany Skias attending the Pocono 200 with
Sheltra Motorsports this weekend. I was introduced to her
at the Motorsports 2008 in January and she is an exceptional
individual. We hope she enjoys her time at Pocono.”
On The First Eight Races: “We don’t
have any room to complain. Other than our engine failure
at Rockingham Speedway last month, we’ve been stout.
The point’s are incredibly tight because it seems
to be the same group finishing inside the top-10 every week.
We have to stay on top of our game and give nothing less
than 150 percent.”
Sheltra Motorsports, Pocono
Raceway Pre-Race Quotes:
Grace Sheltra, owner of the No. 60 Ferguson Pipe
Enterprises-FloraGanics Dodge:
On Toledo: “Toledo Speedway was
awesome for the entire team. Patrick did a phenomenal job
and I could not be more excited about the direction of our
race team. Hopefully we can move up one more spot this weekend
and get that first win.”
On Pocono Raceway: “Pocono is a
very demanding track. Patrick has had some ups and downs
there but we are confident in our program for the weekend.
We’re excited to roll out the Dodge Charger for the
third time this season and we hope to claim our first top-five
and third top-10 finish with the Dodge emblem Saturday afternoon.”
