| NASCAR Veteran Ted Musgrave Heads To Berlin
Raceway With Sheltra Motorsports
“2005 NASCAR Camping World Truck Champion To Mentor
Sheltra”
WHITESVILLE, Kentucky (July 23, 2009) - - Officials from
Sheltra Motorsports announced today that NASCAR veteran
Ted Musgrave has joined the veteran ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS)
team as a driver coach for Indiantown, Florida native Patrick
Sheltra beginning with Saturday night’s Wolverine
Power Systems 200 presented by Generac at Berlin (Mi.) Raceway.
A familiar face at the racetrack, Musgrave, the 2005 NASCAR
Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Champion will act as
a mentor to the 23-year old rising star as Sheltra progresses
through his third year of ARCA competition.
Musgrave, a native of Franklin, Wisconsin has over 18 years
of experience combined between the NASCAR Camping World
Truck Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series. In 518 starts, he has 17 wins, 101 top-five
finishes and 176 top-10s. The former IROC driver won the
NCWTS driver’s championship in 2005 driving for Ultra
Motorsports.
Musgrave will work with “Mr. Showtime” on all
the aspects of racing hoping to guide Sheltra back towards
the front in the ARCA RE/MAX Series championship chase and
most importantly victory lane.
The relationship with Musgrave came about through a familiar
source to Sheltra Motorsports. Germain Racing, a full-time
competitor in the NCWTS suggested the team work with their
2006 truck driver. Additional recommendations came through
Germain Racing’s current driver and 2006 NCWTS Champion
Todd Bodine and members of Brian Scott’s Xpress Motorsports
team. Sheltra Motorsports and Germain Racing partnered together
for the Racing for Wildlife 200 at Michigan International
Speedway in June.
“I think this is one of the biggest steps we’ve
ever made at Sheltra Motorsports,” said driver Patrick
Sheltra. “Ted is no doubt qualified to be a driver
coach. His credentials speak for themselves. He’s
been around racing a long time and I think he can come to
the race track and really help me get into a rhythm. There’s
no doubt we have a great team, we’re just looking
for that extra push and I think Ted’s the answer.
I had the opportunity to talk to him earlier this week and
he sounds just as excited as I am. He’s been to Berlin
Raceway before, so that’s a big plus. I’m looking
forward to getting to Berlin on Saturday.”
He added, “I want to thank Germain Racing, Mike Hillman
Sr., Mike Hillman Jr., Todd Bodine and Xpress Motorsports
for all of their recommendations and support of our race
team. It really means the world to me.”
Sheltra, driver of the No. 60 Buffalo Wings & Rings-Boatwerks
Waterfront Restaurant Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS has 57 ARCA
RE/MAX Series starts to his credit with one career victory
at Salem Speedway (April 2009). During his ARCA tenure,
Sheltra has accumulated nine top-fives and posted 19 top-10
finishes. A third place qualifying effort at Rockingham
Speedway (April 2009) is Sheltra’s best time trials
efforts to date. He has controlled the ARCA field five times
for 109 laps.
The Wolverine Power Systems 200 presented by Generac (200
laps / 88 miles) is the 12th of 21 events on the 2009 ARCA
RE/MAX Series schedule. The Marne, Michigan event is a one-day

half practice session planned from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00
