The Sheltra Motorsports team wrapped up their "Speedweeks 2008" journey tonight in round six of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Unfortunately for the #23 team, Patrick Sheltra was not able to make his way into the $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series feature event after coming up light at the scales following WOOLMS qualifying. Patrick Sheltra and his #23 Dirt Late Model team were once again in action at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida tonight for round five of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals.' The UMP DIRTcar Series was the sanction of choice tonight at VSP and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs in a 50-lap feature event. Unfortunately for Patrick, he was not able to make the starting field for the A-Main after timing in third fastest in his group during qualifying, finishing sixth in his heat race, and running eighth in his B-Main. The Sheltra Motorsports team competed in round four of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' tonight at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Unfortunately it was not a great Valentine's Day for Patrick Sheltra, as he failed to make the starting field for the $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series season opening feature event. Patrick Sheltra and his #23 team were back in Dirt Late Model action tonight at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Patrick timed in second fastest in UMP DIRTcar Series group qualifying tonight and later won his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the third row for round three of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals,' "Mr. Showtime" had problems early on in the $7,000 to win feature event and wound up twenty-third in the final rundown. Round two of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' scheduled for tonight at the Volusia (FL) Speedway Park has been rained out. The action will continue at VSP on Wednesday, February 13 with another $7,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series show.

After concentrating on his hectic ARCA schedule at Daytona, Patrick Sheltra was back in dirt action tonight at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Night one of the 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' took place tonight at the Daytona Beach area venue and a $7,000 top prize was up for grabs in the UMP DIRTcar Series sanctioned event. Unfortunately, Patrick failed to make the starting field for the A-Main after qualifying fourth fastest in his group and suffering problems during his heat race, which led to a disappointing twelfth place effort. Patrick and his #23 Dirt Late Model team decided not to enter the 'Super Bowl of Racing' finale tonight at the Golden Isles (GA) Speedway. Their next dirt events will take place at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida from February 11-16.

February 1, 2008
The Sheltra Motorsports team endured a rough evening tonight in round nine of the 'Super Bowl of Racing' at the Golden Isles (GA) Speedway. Patrick qualified twenty-fifth fastest in O'Reilly Southern Allstars Series (OSAS) time trials and later finished sixth in his stout heat race. After starting seventh in his B-Main, he was involved in a hard wreck on lap one of his consolation race, which destroyed his #23 Rayburn entry. Needless to say, Patrick was done for the evening and will have to pull out his backup car for the final night of 'Super Bowl of Racing' action tomorrow night, February 2. Round eight of the 'Super Bowl of Racing' at the Golden Isles (GA) Speedway was rained out tonight following O'Reilly Southern Allstars Series (OSAS) qualifying. Two more races will be held at GIS on Friday and Saturday to wrap up this year's version of the 'Super Bowl of Racing.'

Patrick and his #23 Dirt Late Model team were back in action tonight at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia. Patrick timed in forty-first fastest in O'Reilly Southern Allstars Series (OSAS) qualifying and later finished fifth in his competitive heat race. Following a fourth place performance in the B-Main, Patrick was granted a promoter's provisional, which enabled him to start twenty-fourth on the grid for the $10,000 to win A-Main. The Sheltra Motorsports team competed in round six of the 'Super Bowl of Racing' tonight at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia. Patrick timed in eleventh quickest in his group during the qualifying session and moved up a few spots to finish eighth in his heat race. After starting fifth in the B-Main, Patrick ran strong throughout the consolation event, but he unfortunately could not pull off a top two finish, which would have transferred him into the $10,000 to win feature event. Following an off-day on Sunday, the #23 team was back in action tonight at the Golden Isles Speedway for round five of the 'Super Bowl of Racing.' Patrick timed in twelfth quickest in his group during qualifying and later finished ninth in his heat race. Unfortunately for the Indiantown, Florida native, Patrick's seventh place effort in the B-Main was not quite good enough to transfer him into the $10,000 to win feature event. Patrick Sheltra and his #23 Dirt Late Model team competed in their first event of the 2008 racing season tonight at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia. Patrick suffered problems throughout the evening, as he did not transfer to the $10,000 to win feature event through his ultra-competitive heat race. Patrick WILL NOT be in action today at the Golden Isles (GA) Speedway for the 'Super Bowl of Racing' opener. He was scheduled to participate in an ARCA test at Talladega on Tuesday, January 22, but it was pushed back until today due to rain. Therefore, Patrick will kick-off his 2008 Dirt Late Model campaign at Golden Isles on Thursday, January 24!
